Is In-Store pickup tax free?Updated 2 months ago

We offer tax-free in-store pickup at our two shop locations in Oregon. However, when placing an order,  “in-store pickup” is selected, and you notice you’re being charged tax; look at your shipping address. By law, we have to charge sales tax to a select number of states, and even though you selected “in-store pickup,” the system notices that the shipping address is located in one of those states. 

How do you bypass that? It’s pretty simple. Change your “shipping address” to our Seaside, Oregon shop location, and the sales tax charge will be dropped from the order. Here’s that Seaside shop address:

If you miss that step, it's no big deal! We screen every order that comes through and can help remove the sales tax charge. Once an order is placed, we cannot manually remove the sales tax charge. However, we can help cancel the order and create a new one without a sales tax charge.
